InSIRT:  Incident Scene Investigation Response Team – Serving Arizona’s criminal defense attorneys and civil attorneys practicing in the areas of worker’s compensation, personal injury, etc.

Phoenix Investigations, PLLC, is proud to introduce its latest service: Incident Scene Investigation Response Team.  As a result of our detectives and technicians processing numerous crime/incident scenes for our clients, both criminal defense and civil attorneys, Phoenix Investigations recognized a need in the market for a specialized team able to respond rapidly to the needs of attorneys we work for and for their clients.

Why would Phoenix Investigations’ detectives be needed to process the scene after the police or in-house/loss prevention investigators have already done it?  In some instances, our private detectives and technicians have found evidence that was overlooked or ignored by police detectives and crime scene technicians; evidence useful to the defendant in corroborating the defendant’s story and which may be used by an attorney to prove the innocence of a client.  Also, by arriving on scene before or while the scene is processed by law enforcement officials, Phoenix Investigations may document (by way of video and/or digital photographs) the activities of the police and show the scene as it was while the police were processing it.  This is useful in determining whether an accurate crime scene roster or log was kept (i.e., who entered the scene); what was removed from the scene; how was the evidence handled; who took the evidence; were any changes made to the scene; etc.  We can also show the condition of the scene immediately after law enforcement leave it.  With regard to scenes processed by in-house or loss prevention investigators, they often don’t have the experience that our detectives and technicians possess – whether that experience is in the processing of the scene or involves sitting for a deposition or testifying in court – experience which could make or break your case.

Phoenix Investigations works with detectives and technicians who have extensive experience in processing and documenting crime/incident scenes.  Our investigators have processed crime and incident scenes involving:

·         Homicide

·         Suicide

·         Rape

·         Sexual Assault

·         Child Molestation

·         Child Abuse

·         Aggravated and Misdemeanor Assault

·         Kidnapping

·         Burglary

·         Robbery

·         Theft

·         Auto Theft

·         Workplace Injury

·         Vehicle Accidents

·         Airplane Accidents

While taking photographs, measuring, and reconstructing a scene may seem like run-of-the-mill work, Phoenix Investigations’ technicians are experienced in processing for latent prints, swabbing for DNA, and handling and maintaining evidence important to your case.  Our detectives and technicians have a combination of education and experience gained from:

·        Federal Bureau of Investigation;

·         Various federal agencies;

·         Phoenix Police Department;

·        Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office;

·         various crime labs;

·         major crimes task forces;

·        and other law enforcement organizations.

Something that can be easily overlooked when selecting a private detective agency is whether the detectives and technicians used by the investigations agency have experience in testifying and whether they can be used to testify.  The investigators that would be assigned to process your crime or incident scene have experience in giving testimony in depositions and in federal and state court, and have nothing in their backgrounds that would prevent them from being a competent, reliable witness.

Our services are available not only in the metro-Phoenix and Maricopa County areas, but throughout the State of Arizona.
